Holistic Integrative Therapy
“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn't fit in with the core belief.”
― Frantz Fanon
Are you struggling with boundaries, expectations that are self imposed, exhaustion and feeling “not enough”?
If you are having difficulty navigating your relationships, parenting, big (or small) life transitions – there is a way for you to orient back to yourself so you can make decisions from a place of clarity and to find more connection and meaning in your interpersonal relationships. It’s hard to remember who you are in when you are burning from both ends of the candle.
You are the creator of your life, You deserve deep connection to yourself. You deserve to find tools that work for you and not just on paper. I want for us to be able to use the healing power of our authentic connection to deeply relate and navigate your muddy waters. I will never work harder than you, and I will always be truthful.
I ask for you to provide a commitment for yourself for 12 weeks, as a relationship between us takes time and is an in depth process. I help you live with yourself fully, and if you don’t know what that is, I help you find it. Therapy is one aspect of healing and yet it is entirely up to you what that journey looks like. This can be frustrating for folks who are interested or used to a provider that follows a Eurocentric lens.
Our work together will create space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, uninhibited emotions, and lots of laughter.
My approach is rooted in integrative psychotherapy, narrative therapy and have in depth expertise in perinatal, postpartum and life transitions. I have extensive experience in grief & loss, identity exploration and utilize the power of connection, through a mind body somatic approach.
“If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together” Lilla Watson
My name is Tania, and I have a varied extensive multidisciplinary approach. I am a creative human, a visual artist and functional movement and embodiment coach. I believe in decolonizing the therapeutic space. I am not perfect and I may not be the right fit for everyone, but I find the processes by which our relationship unfolds as a platform for the relational awareness we may be seeking. How do you find healing and grounding outside of Eurocentric processes? What does healing, growth and liberation look like when you are the expert of your own lived experiences? I am committed to being a reflexive practitioner deconstructing the processes by which I was taught, I also find strength in honoring my own cultural and ancestral wisdom from my lineage and family and the healing practices.
I hold a Master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Washington, specializing in community organization, and have certifications in grief, perinatal mental health, lactation education, trauma informed birth, and Psychedelic Assisted Therapies. I find value in somatic and breath work, and try to incorporate an embodied approach to our time together. As a continual student, I am also a PhD Candidate in Depth Psychology with a specialization in Community, Liberation, Indigenous and Eco-Psychology.
